The Postnatal MidwifeKent

Hello, I’m Lois — a registered midwife here in Kent

You don’t have to do this alone.

Whether your baby arrived last night or last spring, there is support out there — proper, unhurried, at-your-kitchen-table support. I visit homes across Kent to look after new mums the way new mums have always deserved to be looked after: rest, recovery, and someone who stays long enough to listen.

NMC-registered · fully insured · works alongside your NHS care

Kind words, kept

  • “I had a wonderful experience with Lois when she came to my home to check and treat my c-section scar. She was extremely professional and warm. Having at-home care made such a huge difference during my recovery with a newborn. I couldn’t be happier with the treatment and highly recommend her services to any new mum.”

  • “I had the most amazing pregnancy massage. I was well and truly relaxed and can’t wait to get booked in again next month before I give birth. Lois kept me feeling comfy and brought all the comfy pillow supplies. 100% recommend!”

    Chloe C. · Pregnancy massage

in safe hands

A midwife, properly

Not a doula, not a maternity nurse — a registered midwife with the training, registration and insurance that word is supposed to mean.

  • NMC-registered midwife

Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council, the same register as every NHS midwife.

  • RCN and privately insured

Fully insured through the Royal College of Nursing and independently for private practice.

  • NVQ in Swedish, pregnancy and postnatal massage

Qualified specifically in massage for pregnant and postnatal bodies, not general spa massage.

  • Restore-qualified in c-section scar therapy

Trained through the Restore programme in scar assessment, mobilisation and aftercare.

Everything I offer runs happily alongside your NHS care — or independently of it. Your choice, always.

Ready when you are

No forms to fight with, no hard sell, no obligation. Send me a message, tell me a little about you and your baby, and I will come back to you personally — usually the same day.
