Good questions

Is pregnancy massage safe?

With the right training and positioning, yes — and mine is not spa training. I hold an NVQ in Swedish, pregnancy and postnatal massage, and I am a registered midwife, which means I understand exactly what is happening in your body at every stage. You are positioned safely and comfortably with as many pillows as it takes, and everything adapts to how pregnant you are and how you feel on the day.

When can I have a massage after giving birth?

Sooner than most mums think. A gentle postnatal massage can happen within the first weeks once you feel ready — and if you have had a caesarean, I simply work around your healing wound until it is ready to be included. As a midwife I can judge that safely, and I will always err on the side of comfort.

Can I bring my baby?

Of course. Plenty of mums bring their baby to the clinic or have their massage at home while the baby naps next door — or does not nap, and that is fine too. A massage with a feeding break in the middle still counts as a massage.

Where do massages happen, and how do I book?

Two ways. My clinic at Therapy & Fitness in West Malling runs Tuesdays 11:00–14:00 and Saturdays 10:00–13:00, and those slots are bookable online on this page. For home visits across Kent — Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10:00–18:00, Tuesdays 16:00–18:00 and Saturdays 15:00–17:00 — message me on WhatsApp and we will arrange it (a £5 travel supplement applies). Thursdays and Sundays I am closed.

Do I need to be pregnant or postnatal to book a massage?

Not at all. My Women’s Wellness Massage is a relaxing full-body massage for any woman — whether you are pregnant, postnatal, or simply overdue an hour to yourself. Same couch, same care, from £35.

How long a massage should I book?

If it is your first with me, 60 minutes is the sweet spot — time to talk, settle and still have a proper treatment. 30 and 45 minutes are lovely toppers-up, and 90 minutes is the full switch-your-phone-off experience. Prices run from £40 to £80.
