Who I am

I am Lois Perryman, trading as The Postnatal Midwife, and I am the data controller for this website (https://postnatalmidwife.co.uk). You can reach me about anything on this page at postnatalmidwife@hotmail.com or on 07769 251565.

What this website collects

As little as I can get away with. If you send the enquiry form, the details you type — your name, contact details, what you are interested in, and anything you write — are emailed directly to me. They are not stored on the website, in any database, or with any third party beyond the email service that delivers them (Resend) and my own inbox. I keep enquiry emails only as long as our conversation needs, then delete them.

If you message me on WhatsApp, call, or email, that conversation lives in those services under their own privacy terms and mine — I treat everything you tell me with the same confidentiality I owe you as a registered midwife.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets no marketing or tracking cookies by default. If analytics are enabled, you will see a banner first, and nothing is measured unless you agree — declining is one tap and changes nothing about the site. The optional map on the contact page loads Google Maps only after you tap it, because Google sets its own cookies when it loads.

Health information

Anything you tell me about your health, your pregnancy or your baby — in an enquiry or during care — is special category data under UK GDPR. I handle it under my professional duties as an NMC-registered midwife: confidentially, only for your care, and never for marketing.

Your rights

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it or delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you think I have got something wrong. Just ask — no forms, no friction.

Reviews

Reviews on this site are published with the written consent of the mums who wrote them, first names only. If you have left one and change your mind, one message and it comes down.
